On 30th November 2021, in the historic Alfândega customs house in Porto, FEGIME Portugal member ZEMBE was one of the 37 entities awarded with the distinction Brand Inclusive Employer for the 2-year period 2021 / 2022. Of the 37, only 9 were private companies, with ZEMBE being the only SME and the only one from our sector.

The Award Ceremony was attended by the Assistant Secretary of State for Labour and Vocational Training, Miguel Cabrita and the Secretary of State for Inclusion, Ana Sofia Antunes.

ZEMBE Managing Director André Serpa: “The Inclusive Employer Brand initiative gave us the opportunity to rethink our organisation. It allowed us to structure some of our processes in order to ensure more inclusive behaviour. We have adapted our commercial spaces, created service standards for customers with different types of special needs and developed several initiatives to raise awareness of this issue amongst our teams. In short, we now all act in a much more conscious way, which allows us to raise the level of inclusion criteria for customers, partners and employees. We hope that this award will serve as an example for more SMEs and companies in our sector to follow our example.”
