FEGIME’S member company in Norway – Berggård Amundsen – is a family business with strong roots in the local community. Through their local outlets – BA Service Centres – they are committed to giving something back to the community and actively contribute to supporting someone who is in need – throughout the whole country: from Tromsø in the north to Kristiansand in the south.

It all began as part of the international FEGIME Day initiative and in Norway was initially a “Blue Week”. In past years, our Norwegian colleagues have been able to give something back to local communities and have helped a lot of people in various ways. And in June 2020 the project had proved to be so popular that they extended the Blue Week into a Blue Month.

In 2021, the actions range from supporting people in difficult life situations to upgrading sports grounds and tourist cabins. Some BA Service Centres update electrical equipment in collaboration with customers to get even more people to contribute to a gift that really makes a difference.

Some examples this year: the BA Service Centre in Larvik together with the organisation “MyHome” are supporting a fundraiser for an orphanage in Sierra Leone. In Asker they are working with a group for people with disabilities which organizes various activities for the disabled, and in Lillehammer they are providing materials and support for lighting at an ice rink at a local primary school.

CEO Hege Amundsen Elvestad calls on colleagues and customers alike to do their best: “We look forward to making an effort with Blue Month, so that we can make the greatest possible contribution to all the projects. Come by your local Service Centre or online store in June, and you will contribute too!”
