At the end of last year our colleagues from FEGIME Hellas & Cyprus (Kafkas) organised their first Lighting Design Week with the participation of leading suppliers and lighting experts at their unique “HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas”.
Comprising workshops for a limited number of participants and accompanied by events specifically related to each day’s theme, the exclusive 6-day event offered an exciting insight into the world of contemporary lighting, by showcasing the inextricable link between architectural form, everyday life and lighting. Leading experts from the sector were on hand to explain, illustrate and present the topics. These included “The Intimate Side of Lighting”, “Lighting Landscapes”, “Daylight as a Source of Design Inspiration” and “Lighting for Emotion”.
CEO Nikos Kafkas was very satisfied: “More than 130 architects and lighting experts took part in over 18 hours of workshops as well as the ensuing discussions and accompanying events. It was a great success that we will for sure repeat in the future.”
The HUB alone would have been enough to inspire the guests. This impressive state-of-the-art location has been created to exhibit all the innovative technologies, applications and end-to-end solutions in the field of lighting and building automation. It is already considered a reference and meeting point for architects, designers, interior designers, technical companies, end customers and investors, as well as hoteliers interested in the latest lighting and automation solutions.
