FAMP 2024 in Athens
The eleventh FEGIME Advance Management Programme took place last 13th to 18th of October in Athens. One more year, 38 FEGIME Future members from 11 countries had the opportunity of spending one week together:
- Connecting the future generations of the electrical wholesale industry and sharing best-practices, experiences and daily business issues.
- Learning from a top Business School like Ashridge BusinessSchool about Strategy, Collaboration and mindful Leadership.
- Visiting FEGIME Hellas & Cyprus member KAFKAS SA and learning from them as an industry leader.
During the first day in Athens the group visited KAFKAS state of the art and totally automated Distribution Center. Later that day they were welcomed by Mr. Nikos Kafkas at KAFKAS HUB Lighting & Innovation where they had the chance to talk with Mr Kafkas and have a look at the latest KAFKAS Projects in lighting solutions, energy management and intelligent building management.
On Tuesday, the classes started at Impact Hub Athens. During Tuesday the participants learnt and discussed about thinking strategically, developing strategies over time and turning these strategies into action. On Wednesday the central topic was collaboration: using a virtual business simulation, the participants learnt to view their organisations from other perspectives, understand interdependencies and using communication to resolve issues and make decisions.
On Thursday and Friday professor Roger Delves introduced the topic of emotional intelligence as integral part of a successful leadership. These sessions helped the participants to understand themselves better, to become a clear idea of who they are as an authentic leader, and to develop an authentic leadership.
A very big thank you to Nikos Kafkas and his team for the warm welcome and sharing their knowledge and experience with the participants in a very enriching first session.
Thank you also very much to Professors Roger Delves and Neil Twogood from Ashridge Business School.
