With these words Florin Niculae, Outgoing FEGIME President, opened the FEGIME Digital Congress a week ago. The last time the group met was in Nice three years ago. So obviously, everybody was very happy to meet again – albeit digitally! There was also a lot to celebrate anyway as 2021 was an incredible year for the group, with organic growth of 25% and the addition of €1.5 billion to reach €7.5 billion total turnover.
The Congress, which took place in chat show format, was presented by Managing Director, David Garratt, and the other FEGIME Directors Hege Amundsen-Elvestad and Gabriele Depalo (see photo – Lars Kestner was unfortunately sick). Over 500 registrations had been received from 27 countries and a full recording of the event – including the additional audio tracks in Spanish, German and Italian – is still available via login until the end of next week.
The live audience was able to learn first-hand about the developments and strategies of the group and its member countries. The morning began with the “host nation”: colleagues from FEGIME Finland & Baltics. They were followed by contributions from Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Spain and FEGIME Future. The presentations were accompanied by supporting videos to create a dynamic and easy-to-follow atmosphere and the breaks were enlivened with the participation of DJ Neils.
