Electroglobal supported Romania’s official presence at the Venice Biennale 2024 through “What Work Is”, an exhibition by artist Șerban Savu. Inaugurated on April 18 at the Romanian Pavilion in Giardini della Biennale and the New Gallery of the Romanian Institute of Culture, the project explores the iconography of labor and everyday life.
Drawing inspiration from Eastern Bloc realism and propaganda art, Savu’s work presents ordinary characters in personal, almost anarchic spaces—offering a powerful reflection on identity, dignity, and the meaning of work.
