FEGIME FUTURE Visit to Siemens
February 18–20, 2026
Last week FEGIME Future gathered in Switzerland for its first meeting of the year, hosted by our Strategic Preferred Supplier Siemens in Zug.
Bringing together our next-generation group from across the FEGIME network, the visit combined strategic insight, innovation, and hands-on exchange. These meetings are a crucial part of our FEGIME Academy program in order to prepare the future leaders of our industry in collaboration with our main SPSs.
Future of Smart Infrastructure
Over two intensive and proactive days at the Siemens campus in Zug, participants gained valuable insights into the transformation of our industry.
The agenda included sessions on:
-
Digital Service Offerings
-
Smart Buildings and Autonomous Buildings
-
BuildingX Cloud Solutions
-
AI and SaaS integration in building management
-
Cloud business models for distributors
-
Selling SaaS via distribution channels
The programme began with a welcome and introduction to the Siemens Smart Buildings, followed by expert presentations on how AI and cloud-based technologies are increasingly integrated into building infrastructures, enabling greater autonomy, efficiency and sustainability.
Particular attention was given to the evolution of business models: how distribution can successfully adapt to digital services and recurring SaaS-based revenue structures.
The visit also included a workshop focused on defining business models for selling SaaS through distribution, as well as a tour of the HVAC Lab, providing practical insight into technological applications.
Preparing the Next Generation for Digital Transformation
The integration of AI, cloud platforms and digital services into the building ecosystem is no longer a future concept, it is today’s reality.
Meetings like this enable our future leaders to anticipate change rather than react to it. They foster strategic thinking around:
-
Digital value-added services
-
Sustainability through smart technologies
-
New revenue streams beyond traditional product sales
-
The evolving role of distribution in a data-driven industry
Thank You, Siemens
We would like to sincerely thank the Siemens team for collaborating on preparing this special meeting, we just held 2 visits per year with our SPSs that is why making the most of every exchange is essential and Siemens’ high-level contributions once again demonstrated the strength of collaboration between global innovation leaders and independent family-owned wholesalers.
Our journey continues.
FEGIME. Generating Value. Together.
